Together with Professors Houari Sahraoui and Eugene Syriani, we talked about our latest collaboration on Cyber-Biophysical Systems in Controlled Environment Agriculture to UdemNouvelles, the official news outlet of the University of Montreal: https://nouvelles.umontreal.ca/article/2022/03/16/l-ia-a-la-ferme-une-nouvelle-voie-vers-l-autonomie-alimentaire/.
Earlier, in February, we had a similar news appearance with L’actualité.
In a Controlled Environment Agriculture setting, vegetables and fruits are grown in a closed and controlled environment, using artificial lighting and managed environmental conditions that offer a cost-efficient, sustainable and healthy solution to cope with the concerns and challenges of local food production. With appropriate optimization measures, the lifecycle of vegetation can be aligned with the dynamics of the overall supply chain in a way that it further minimizes waste.
Very excited to contribute on such a truly impactful effort.
